I never imagined Dell went so low as to send a monitor full of finger marks, with stubborn dirt, and packaged in the manner shown in the first 2 photos of my OP! :eek:

Is this for real or what??

The guy who refurbished this monitor should be whipped.

You pay a premium that grants you a perfect monitor, this shouldn't happen.

Also, the replacement I got came in the classic Dell box with U3011 written on it and a giant blue sticker with : UPS Part Service Hold for Pickup.

That box and everything seems fishy, this isn't something I've seen from dell honestly. Your reseller may be up to something but I don't wanna call anyone.

Just the way that monitor was packaged would send up RED FLAIRS alone. My guess this supplier of yours, or as he's claiming it came from Dell, had a refurbished monitor just sitting around for a while collecting dust and they or whoever decided to unload it just to get rid of it.

Even though it seems to be working properly now, I would never stand for the shoddy packaging, dreadful customer service and the rude replies you have suffered at the hands of these incompetents ! If I were you I would get all these people on the line and scream bloody murder until someone makes this right...:mad: I'm pissed off just reading what you have dealt with. Don't let them get over on you.

I purchased a 23" LG monitor a little over 3 years ago that had a 3 year warranty on it. About 2+ years into it the monitor keep showing black bands across 1/3 of the screen when turned on. I contacted LG, explained the prob. and they sent me a brand new monitor correctly packaged to replace the defective one, all though it wasn't the same model due to they had no refurbished one's, they sent me the most recent model with the nearest specs that matched it. That is how it should have been done for you.

For the Time, money and aggravation these people have caused..Don't let these clowns get over on you....

call dell and complain. im sure there is something up.

i faced similar problems here with asus. some people may remember me calling asus service crap since i went to get my motherboard fixed 4 times in 2 years. they are the distributer as well as the service centre for asus. i heard that they actually replace new good mobos with refurbished ones. and all the stuff is fixed with cheap parts from here. and what more none of the asus motherboards in my locality come with a seal. all come with the seal broken. so i complain to asus worldwide and i get 5 phone calls calling me to hush me up.


i would advice you to call dell and tell everything.
