He's the CEO of Activision Blizzard., I wouldn't put anything past him. Like I said about graphics, I know with the Isometric camera that those games were never graphical power houses, but it was an angle that allowed everything to look great and remain that way. So of the videos I have seen so far the characters have horrible textures, very low res, blurry, and not detailed. Plus, just like COD, lots of people play it online, but it has no sub fee, and there has been many talks of some way to rake in cash, since there is cash to be had, D2 still has a lot that play, and if D3 is really that good, who says there won't be an attempt to bank on it, so what if it means loosing people, turn on a sub fee after the games out, that way you rake in al lthe cash from opening sales, then if people leave, who cares, the ones that stay pay in cash.
If youve seen SC2 played on a screen (not a youtube video), then you will have a very good idea what Diablo 3 will most likely look like when its done. Starcraft 2 is very good looking, and nice thing about it is that it isnt amazingly taxing on the video card either. Many units will slow down a system if the textures are crazy detailed. Which is why I think Blizz did a good job of putting the amount of detail that they did in the characters. But to be quite honest, I do hope D3 looks even better and needs a stronger video card, just because I likes me some eye candies
But hell if they are going to charge monthly to let players have access to bnet for this game. I will personally start a riot in my own town
