Hello all. Are there any diagnostic programs out there for testing motherboards and CPU's? I'm getting BSOD's during install of Vista as well as the install of XP. I'm suspecting the motherboard and/or cpu is at fault and I want to verify this. Thanks for your help.

I'd say its more likely to be the motherboard, hardrive, or memory,
If the hard drive has bad sector damage it can halt and bsod even after a format same as if the memory has errors.
If its the motherboard its probably a IO error (input output) you can try eliminating it by trying one memory stick at a time or trying another hard drive.
