The case was just settled in December. I wouldn't expect any payments to go out until at least 6 months after that.

Although most 970 owners said they had no problems and could run anything...
Since I heard of the 0.5GB slow vram, I avoided buying one...

we're in the same boat -- I had two of them also... Its funny how a GLOBAL/INTERNATIONAL company that sells its products worldwide can avoid getting penalized in some parts of the world. IMO If you have proof of purchase, you should be able to contact Nvidia directly and have them pay you the money they said they would.

Even though they paid out $30 per card its U.S only so the money that went out is but a small drop in the ocean after how many cards they sold worldwide.

i think because the suit was based in a US court of law, its findings cannot be applied globally in places that use a different court of law. atleast thats my guess. it would be nice as you mentioned if Nvidia would in good faith give the $ to those who can prove theyre owners, but they arent legally obligated to in any region outside the US sadly, and tbh, they arent giving out $$ for "good will" the only reason we are getting it back is because nvidia is Legally obligated to give it to us.

Bingo. NVIDIA understated its capability in the US market ergo NVIDIA got class action sued in the US. There could be a similar lawsuit in your country you could get in on.

I think the UN has a court but it's strictly reserved for war crimes.

You still have to make sure if you do decide to spearhead or do more research into anything class-action that your legal system will accommodate such a lawsuit. I'm far from a legal expert , but certain countries can have laws that are biased towards corporations favor( i'm not speaking of any country in particular either )

Why they are selling GPU's at an obscene profit margin it would be nothing more than a blip, just like the AMD/Intel antitrust suit.
