Did I Make A Good Purchase?

Hello all,

I am new here (well, new as in just registered, but read a lot of good info here for a long time)

I was in the market for a new Graphics Card and found a MSI 560 Ti 448 OC version.

Paid a total of $159.00 shipped.

The previous owner purchased the card in November, so it has approx. 2 years 8 months left on the warranty.

I read some reviews and considered a 570, but, I couldn't find a really good deal on one.

It seems the 560 Ti 448 OC is pretty close to a 570 or surpasses it in some aspects.

Just looking for some input from you guys and or gals

slight overclock and it like 570!! good buy if everything is working fine!!

Thinking about a "purchase" after making the purchase is generally a bad idea... you will always end up feeling bad over it.

pretty close yes, surpasses it in some aspects no maybe just overclocked but all cards can do that.
The deal its not so bad but there are a lot of better options out there, next time remember to ask first buy later.

BTW this card is replacing a GTX 280 Super Clocked version.

I could have picked up a GTX 470 for $120 but passed on it for the one I purchased.

So now that the deal is done. What would some of you have recommended?

In all my years I've found that a good deal is not necessarily what you paid, but how happy you are with the purchase.

I got my pair of 6970s shortly after the 7000 series launched and I am very happy with them.
Could I have done better? Probably, but they do everything I need them to do and then some.

As for Frick saying it was a horrible purchase ... that's just Frick. He hates everything. lol

Oh BTW .. welcome to TPU.

Well the price was alright I guess so thats great but it is a last gen graphics card. Anything current gen around the same price performs better with a lower power consumption also. Thats why you gotta read some reviews, see some charts on the price/performace ratio before you make a purchase.

I don't think you've been stitched up here, but next time you should definitely ask before you purchase - much less chance of buyer's remorse.

Having said this, I bought a brand new EVGA GTX 590 Classified the other day without asking and know that I got a good deal. This is because it was only £360 and I checked out the benchmarks first from several sites, including TPU. Besides, I collect dual GPU cards when they become affordable, so I was gonna buy it regardless.

Regardless, the deal is done now, so enjoy your card and welcome to TPU. :toast:
