I'm running Windows XP Home Edition, with a Asus Crosshair MB, and a AMD AM2 X2 4600 2.4G
I've had the computer OC to 2.7Ghz without any problems for months now.
Today I decided to upgrade the BIOS, that went just fine. And it was also a big mistake.
For some reason I can no longer get an OC on the CPU.
Before the bios I had it setup at 247*11= 2.717Ghz
Now the multiplier at 247*11= 3.1Ghz
It doesn't make any sense why is the multiplier reading some out of whack numbers.
I've tried every single combination there is to try the max OC I can get is 2.5Ghz, anything above the 2.5ghz the computer does not multiply correctly anymore.
Has anyone ever encounter this problem????
What is the solution????
I've tried put it back to the previous BIOS, it doesn't let me do it, it says BIOS not compatible.
