What would you prefer? Your digital camera does movies in Mpeg or .mov ?????

I would say bitrates, resolutions and such are more important. Plus both file types could be different formats.

please do explain why you would be presenting a case against or for an inferior format such as .mov. not to mention it's from apple, which is even worst. it's like your going to be presenting a case on your sexual orientation in reguards to computers

Because the company I work for Kodak uses .mov and I am trying to build a case so they will use the standard Mpeg ..! I know that .mov is silly compared to the compatibility of Mpeg but when you up against corporate I would like as much ammo as possible !!!!

mpeg is easier to use imo, no converting, and almost everything supports mpeg video

My canon does .avi

640X480 max resolution.
Can be captured, via cable, in realtime, with audio.

I have a Kodak V530 but only use it for photo's.If I was using video would rather have mpeg as I dont use Quicktime at all.

Has to be Mpeg, I have 2 quicktime Kodaks, and always have to convert the movie every time. Its a damn nuisance

Yea theres really no comparison.. Mpeg all day.. it's far more compatible and it take sup less memory and tends to run better.. Idk why, but it does.. Mov files are old school.. like beta max..lol.. using a .Mov file would make whoever develops it look like an infant in the technological world.. mpeg, no question.. :toast:

Mpeg for sure. I'm sure both formats have their merits but mpeg is a LOT more convenient to use. Once I was doing a project with a friend (with his Kodak camera, as we didn't have anything better on hand), and when it came for the time to put it all together with Windows Movie Maker, it was pretty much hell.
