$5400 seems steep for a PC. That rig is nothing you couldn't put together and clock yourself for around half that price;)

For me , dedicated to the cause, two days, three tops. Well worth the time for around $2500 in my opinion. On the flip side I totally understand your angle as well.

i about fell out of my bed when I saw the price ... talk about a kick in the nuts ...

like people have said so far ... just take a few days or a weekend and learn a lot while doing it and save about half the price of what they are asking.

self satisfaction knowing you can do it is way better IMO ;)

For that price or less, you could hand-build one with the i7 980X, 12GB of RAM, with a Rampage 3 Extreme, 2x128GB SSDs RAID0, 2x3TB HDDs RAID1, 2xBlu-Ray ODD, 4xGTX580s, Auzen X-Fi and Win 7 Ultimate

last time I read up on TEC coolers they needed their own PSU and could not be trusted to be left on 24/7 and created a lot of heat ...

maybe I am wrong as it was some time ago ...

no LCS doesn't include a tec LCS is just liquid cooling system. None of the watercooling setups on the site you posted include a TEC.

last time I read up on TEC coolers they needed their own PSU and could not be trusted to be left on 24/7 and created a lot of heat ...

maybe I am wrong as it was some time ago ...

they can do alot of things just ask wilee

def building your own is the way to go when it comes to building a mid-high performace computer. Companies like DigitalStorm, alienware, etc have long been known to charge an obscene price for the hardware they include in contrast to what it would cost if you assembled it. Glad to see your going with the best option :toast:
