Have had various issues with their products through the years, but I did occasionally buy their stuff nonetheless.
Why? The masses.. with so many people owning your exact model of GPU, mobo, etc, advice/tips were easy to find online. Yes folks, for people like me, this does matter sadly. Can't have an expertise in every field you delve in, now can you? Not enough time.
As to the issues? RAMs stuck in their sockets due to heat (so I think), irremovable. Capacitors failing within months. Headers broken, bent or literally in danger of detaching themselves without extreme caution. Poor quality material build in even high-end products. Could go on.
Have had some issues recently with a Gigabyte mobo, apparently at that range they cannot handle four sticks of RAM, so once again, I thought let's get an Asus mobo.. idiots. Idiots never learn, lol
So here I am, with an x99 deluxe ii, seconds before I do something fun with it; namely take it out back and smash it to pieces. Got to get my kicks somehow right?
1) It cannot drive recent NVMes as PCIe 3.0. Yes yes, I have seen and read what you have. It-does-not.
2) It cannot OC even half as good as my 150 bucks cheaper gigabyte mobo (same CPU, same voltage values, won't even post. Same CPU, significantly higher voltage values, won't even post. Asus quality man, but hey, we have leds on the board! Dem lightz mon!!11)
3) It cannot do either of the above that, again, the cheaper gigabyte can, but it does cost about 150 bucks more.
Last time I ever go near this brand. Like really this time. So long and thanks for all the fish. Was rotten and smelly (as all fish coming from Lutetia in oxen carts is), but it did come, lol
Not sure what i'll do at this point.. anyway, rant is over; nothing to see here folks!
