By discuss I mean constructive criticisms and ideas. Please dont tell me that is sucks or anything like that. Tell me what you think of the build and how I might could save some money or improve it an any way. I wanted to build a smaller for factor as I have not done this before, also want to save on the power consumption.

I'm interested to see what ivy bridge and pcie 3.0 bring. the motherboard is pcie 3.0 ready so im pretty certain this is the one ill be buying.
I want this thing to be used mainly for office/school/graphic work but I also want it to be able to play any game I through at it on maxed out settings @ 1920x1200

The board is something I would not get. It is a low level 4+1 Phase with old style chokes.

The I would get if you can throw in another 10$ is the "ASUS P8Z68-M Pro LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS"

This board offers 12 phases and alot more potential in the OCing and features

dont know if id get either of them cases, they are nice but both look a bit low on airflow for me, If you run it 24/7 and oc, or oc high you might want more airflow across your new bits

If I get the lian li a05nb I plan on putting at least 2 120mm fans on the top of the case to help with airflow. but thanks for pointing that out. do you know of some other small form factor cases that can house full sized cpu coolers?

I have a 2600K and I love it! Some say 2500K and some say 2600K and some say wait til IVY I say do what you think you need. I love my 2600K but am I may get an Ivy according on the benchs.

I think I'll wait and see how Ivy does, If the benches justify buying than ill do that but if not than buy that point I'm sure that sandy bridge cpus will have dropped in price.

from what I have been reading, Most Z68/P67 boards will get a Ivy bridge Bios update. I know a handful of gigabyte boards have already gotten this bios

Yea I've noticed that too I wonder if you need a sandy bridge to flash though...I've seen that beening an issue with some AMD board where people had to use an older CPU to flash the bios

hold off on modular/non-modular PSU decisions until you decide on a case...

About 2 months ago Santa brought me a 2500K and Z68 mirco-ATX board, so I like the direction you are going.

But I would like to suggest an alternate case and mobo to look at. Case is cheaper, but mobo is more expensive.

I'm looking at the Silverstone PS-07B right now... UPS just dropped it off.

IMHO this is a an awesome case for a small form factor build :toast:

- nice build quality
- removable MB tray*
* wasn't slide out tray- sorry about that
- front dust filter/PSU filter
- DH-14 should fit (case even has an adjustable foot to brace up heavy coolers :cool:

)
- removable HDD rack
- cable routing holes everywhere
- about 3/4" room behind mobo tray

I have an A05NB

Perfect case, with a very very very portable and blending appeal.

I have a full ATX motherboard, 750TX corsair psu, a GTX 470 and GTX 260, 3 120mm fan's, and space for ram cooler, network and sound cards, optical drives and plenty of hardrives. and a Corsair H50 wat.cooler

Looks small at first, but the layout and airflow design is very clean and the case has been revised multiple times. Very clean and everything functions perfect.

Its even quiet and I think I can stand on-top of this aluminum lian-li case and it will still keep strait.

Very Strong, Very Strong.

Yea I noticed that there is a whole club/ thread devoted to people who have this case on another forum. It looks to be a very roomy case! Especially if you install a micro atx
