how can i say? everything depends on the ambient room temp.
thats very true, also how long your computer has been on for, after being on all day, mine goers up 3=5 c usually, and it can depend on what fan settings u have going at the time too i guess,

for example when i took readings this mornin,it was 21/3c @ idle roundabouts, now after being on all day,its @ 26/7c

I can easily hit above 80C on my i5 750 during linpack 78-87C after 20 mins... during gaming it stays around 65-72 which is perfectly fine. Using a Corsair H60 in push-pull as an intake. The fans are configured to be silent, I could get better temps with some more RPMs I think, but I don't think its worth the noise.

My macbook pro loads at like 92C while converting movies (not even linpack). I think it would throttle after like 5 seconds if i tried to run it.

I think I'm going to go and run some benchmarks when I get home after cranking up the fan speed in my BIOS, I'm hoping I won't break 75C if I crank up everythng :D

Right now prime 95 max heat mode I get 40c under load .

Cpu @3.64 ghz underneath a Silver Arrow with both fans on full whack and a NZXT rifle bearing 1300 rpm fan sucking all it's hot air out the case.

Idle is around 20c.

I've adjusted temperature by +10 degrees in core temp due to the Phenom overclock temperature bug.

thats a good point to make actually,i was thinking something similar,

the antec i just installed made all the difference for me,its keeping my system about 10c cooler now after stock intel has been given the highland fling so to speak.

i know its hard to believe my i5 idle temp is 21-23c for me,but its true,it was round 33c b4 antec installed.

i7 950, 4270MHz, HT on, ambient air temperature ~23°:

I presume we are talking about core temperatures, so I averaged the temperatures of my four cores (ranging from 33° to 43°) at idle and will call it 38°

Load (Five passes of LinX, 21K problem size) average 67° (64° to 71°).

Of course, as others have noted, it can vary depending on ambient.

You are right, and the ambient temperatures if it's possible :)
My cooler is generic (no brand) but the fan was replaced with a Delta Electronics (75 mm?) one rescued from a old HP PC that was trashed. The fan speed varies according to the CPU temperature

Voted 41-50, 46-55 and 66-75.

Same and I'm assuming these are core temps. I set my systems to use as little fan speed as necessary to keep cores between 45° and 70°. I don't concern myself with minimizing idle temps below this range—they're irrelevant to me insofar as they aren't high enough to generate significantly more power consumption due to lower voltage regulator efficiency.

All my CPUs (a couple AMD rigs and the two Intel sig rigs) are overclocked and voltage tweaked to minimize waste heat, and the systems are mostly set up with Hyper 212+ heatsinks and Delta FFB1212VHE fans and running Folding@home almost 24/7. I make good use of cold winter air, too.

35°C idle and up to 55°C at about 50% load, that's usually when I'm gaming. I have stock AMD cooler, CPU not OC'ed. 48°C with 100% load, when stressing only CPU (encoding video with handbrake).

About 35c idle and right up around 75c loaded in LinX using AVX. Using a Hyper 212 with two Scythe S-Flex fans that idle at 800RPM and spin up to 1600RPM at 50c, a 200mm intake (HAF 912), and low speed 120mm fans for the exhaust in back and on top.

Staying under 41° C with a 1090T @ 4.25GHz/NH-D14? I am curious about the voltage. Just looked over some of my old benchmarks and found where I tested the NH-D14 on a 1090T at 4.2GHz and it was hitting 45° in a 22° environment under load (no case).

ambient about 15-23c or so,coming into summer/spring at the moment,my case is a cheapo but because i oni have one hardrive and not much cable clutter etc, perhaps it cools well?

the fans are not that great either, one came with the case, the other is hi rpm cheapo too,if i got newer better fans which i plan to do,it will be better, its slightly noisy, not unbearable or even loud, just prominent,

the antec does a sterling job for a cheaper end liquid setup, and it works better with 2 fans in push pull too,if u want a good cpu cooler,i can recommend it,so far anyhow, for the price,

ive tried to get the best out of the case for the time being ,dicking around with different configs etc,its been on now for bout 48 hrs non stop, sitting round 24-26c

I think I need to work on my cable clutter to improve airflow, when I get some pictures of my system I will post them so my cable management can be ridiculed lol

hey i learnt something i wasnt thinking about the other day,you folks would already bnow tho,but positive/negative air pressure inside case makes a big diff!!!!

,i noticed with my matx case,it has a lot of ventilation grills/fan grills etc,not all are populated at the moment,i have no dust filters on it either yet,so i thought, why not go to laundry cupboard and chek for vacuum cleaner filters?

same thing as dust filters, sure enuf i found a bag of vacuum cleaner dust filters,so i cut them up and placed them inside over some vents, which in effect closed off to a degree all the ventilation holes or slowed it down a bit, this actually served ton make my case cooler, maybe because now the air that is drawn in,is done so under more pressure?

which makes for cooler air, somtin like that anyhow,my god its dusty down here near the beach,my gpu was clogged after oni 1 week no joke,

i placed the home made dust filters in positions so that cool air is drawn from the bottom of the case, and exhausted out the top,it worked ,its few degrees cooler now anyway,so if u need filters,

raid ya mums vacuum cleaner,hahaha
