Specs are to the left. Issues started while trying to play BF3. I had zero crashes for a couple of weeks, then all of a sudden I began to crash out within 5-15 minutes of playing. The game would throw an error message, and I would have to restart in order to launch the game again.

I managed to track down that BF3 throws a fit when your PageFile is turned down (I had it set at 1-2GB instead of 8GB). Switched it back to normal, and all was well (although I cannot determine why it decided to give me a problem after no changes to my system after running BF3 on W7 and W8 with a 1-2GB PageFile since the game came out).

Now, we're having a slightly different issue.

Every other time I launch a game, I will get a "Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered." crash relatively quickly after launching. After it recovers, my game will chug along at around 20-25FPS, only until a restart, when all is back to normal. I had already tested my GPU with FurMark torture test looking for artifacts, temps were normal, and I have run IntelBurnTest to ensure CPU and Memory are good to go.

I am at a loss. Is it Windows 8? Nvidia's 320.49 driver? DirectX is manually updated to the latest version, I am getting crashes in both Battlefield 3 and Path of Exile. Any suggestions, guys?:respect:

Mine has been iffy, since the newest drivers that just came out a couple days ago. So we are probably having the same issue. Just today I came into PC room and my monitor was on stand-by. I turned it on and it had a message that NVIDIA drivers have stopped but recovered. My guess is buggy new driver.

Try a previous driver where there were no issues.

These drivers have been out since July 1st though, and I've only recently had problems! Maybe it's Geforce Experience that's causing them?

Here are my Event Viewer logs.

The earlier August ones can probably be attributed to my PageFile fiasco.

Maybe a new beta driver will solve the issue?

Edit: Tried the latest beta driver, all good so far on 326.80!
