Alright, this might sound like a weird question for such a bad laptop GPU but ever since I became aware of the modded laptop to desktop GPU's that some folk have been making such as the 3060M or 3080M, I became really interested in them and have had a weird fixation on them. Most of the searches I've tried on other places led nowhere so I'd assume no (which to be fair, its a awful laptop GPU so its not really surprising) but I'd figure I'd ask anyway.

I even checked places like aliexpress where these laptop to desktop gpu's are most commonly found (at least, from what I was told) but nothing so far. This might not be the right place to ask either, but I'd figure I would give it a shot.

The terms im using here might not be correct so please do correct me. I'm not in the know-how for these modded GPU's nor what they should be called.

EDIT: Since someone already asked, I'm not interested in actually using one of these cards as I dont need it for any real reason besides novelty.

aliexpress is generally the correct place to find them.

Unfortunately you cant really guarantee what you can find on there. Chinese companies recycle and repurpose a lot of stuff so if its there, then its there but if not then its not.

Before you do anything with regards to modded GPUs though. I would beware. They often require customised drivers to run and the manufacturer will supply them but the install media itself or the driver executable file will contain malware. As this youtuber found out.

Its not the first time malware has been distributed like that. They'll do it for any other hardware that requires custom drivers or if it doesnt, they'll include a drivers disk or USB stick anyway in the...

I recently advised a person to return a mobility gtx1080 on a desktop pcb because drivers would not install. If anything they are just wall art. Not worth the time or money.

And they are fake cards

Yes I'm aware of this. I'm not interested in actually using it, I might buy one purely for novelty but they are literally not worth using at all, I'm already aware of this.

If you know anything regarding these cards, please do let me know.

Only ebay, temu, aliexpress, etsy would have these fakes, maybe amazon but why support deceptive people?

Otherwise I think TechYesCity has also made a video about mobile GPus on a desktop GPu PCB.

I first found out about these GPU's from IcebergTech who makes some great content as is. I doubt a 2050M modded GPU even exists because it seems these chinese companies onyl really went after the laptop 30 series cards to mod, but the novelty of owning one of if not the worst RTX card still parades in my mind.

I dont actually want to seriously try to use a potential 2050M Modded GPU if I ever got my hands on it. Even then, I'm not gonna even bother with trying to use whatever drivers they would give. Theres not even a dedicated frankendriver for it, so even then the drivers they would potentially give are bogus at best.

Only ebay, temu, aliexpress, etsy would have these fakes, maybe amazon but why support deceptive people?
My intent is not to support deceptive practices. But thanks for the heads up on where to look. I'll continue to search regardless; you might be right though about supporting deceptive practices, but at the same time; its a 2050M. I dont think anybody is going out of there way to get a 2050M when theres far more popular and well known options when you're on a ultra tight budget. Especially since I dont think modded versions even exist now that I'm checking again. If I can though I'll try to avoid directly supporting them, however I gotta do that. (so far, I'm only really seeing 3050 TiM and 2070M being the worst of the worst which apparently exist, or existed at one point)

I'm glad this bizarre question wasn't immediately met with skepticism, thanks. We'll call this done then, thank you all for the help.

There have been many who come on here suckered into thinking they have a 1050 ti, or 960 etc and truth is they are Fermi based.

I wouldn't call them deceptive when the cards I have seen on Ali Express are clearly shown to have mobile GPU chips, and are labelled and shown in pictures as such, buyers are aware of whet they are buying.
I have not seen any 2050m GPUs though, which is what the OP asked for.
