I've been doing this for years now.I'm wondering if anyone else does this.

Some benefits it can prevent tearing and of course save power and keep your room/area cooler.

im a yes AND no person. Enhanced sync has a few issues atm so im using vsync on my rx 480. If/when enhanced sync comes to older amd cards ie. all GCN based cards, then both my 480 and 390X will be using enhanced sync instead of vsync,

Vsync 60hz for 60fps. Interesting to see which games that my 980Ti pushes past 60FPS maxed out at 1080P have a reduced load, and how far reduced (or not). Some games it is a huge difference that can be upwards of 60-80W at the UPS. There are a few games that my ol' stock 980Ti struggles to keep above 60FPS to begin with lol.

I use Vsync on my laptop to lock in 60Hz 60FPS @ 1920x1080 but I only do so because my laptop likes to run nice and cool smooth gaming...lol

It depends on the game. Some games there's no issue running vsync, some there is tearing that makes it very irritating to play.

I let the game tell me what to do. If it's running ridiculously high frames there's no need to waste energy and generate unneeded heat so I will lock it in that situation or if performances better with it on. I'll leave it off if the frames don't go to high or if there's no performance issue caused by it

Just like with everything, I only deal with it or address it ,if it requires me to do so

Your No option is silly...

I keep my fps ~60+ by adjusting settings. For bf4 i turn up resolution scaling for better IQ. In PUBG, its mostly ultra that keeps it around 60.

I use adaptive V-Sync in almost all games, unless for the very specific games that don't work with the feature so I just turn on V-Sync in the game instead.

I always just leave it to go as high as it can.
To me games feel a lot smoother at 120+ fps than at 60 even with a 60hz monitor. And either my monitor is very good with frame tearing or I just don't notice it at all.

I lock my frames 1 below monitor max. VRR monitor lets you play smoothly.
If I want to save power I do custom GPU profiles for the game. Much better then letting V-Sync cap it on default. Power saving will vary per game over the default.

No Vsync because of input lag.
I use Nvidia Inspector to lock games at 60fps for a 60Hz screen so no tearing. If I can get a solid 120fps I will lock it at that for less lag. GTX 970.
On Gsync screens if the screens max is 144Hz and you get 144fps+ then Vsync is turned on, negating the whole purpose of Gsync. Locking games about 5fps below max refresh on Gsync screens is really the way to go. Locking them just 1-2fps under seems to still introduce Vsync-like lag.

I game mostly on TV, so yeah. The occasional game I use my monitor on I don't. And some games get wacky physics issues without vsync (Skyrim).

I voted Vsync. I try to get my frames above 60/70 then vsync it. I don't need anymore fps as I'm not into competitive gaming anymore.

Its hard to get more than 60 fps @ 4k with all the bells and whistles anyways, except for 2x 1080Ti...

Edit: BTW I can't stand screen tearing so its just another reason I prefer to use vsync.
