I did have up until last week. I was forced to throw out all the parts that were deemed too old to be of use to anyone.

Guilty as charge. My garage use to hold gear from my previous builds. I culled the herd a couple of years ago, to parts that actually work with my current 2 motherboards/systems. I still have various HDDs, cables, a few controllers(Steam Controller made my previous ones obsolete), and a GPU here and there.

I do, but that doesn't make it normal. On the contrary, as I am the antithesis of normal.

Don't make it wrong either or even not normal , really only should be questioned if it becomes a health hazard \ risk. Other wise people should be free to do what they like other wise.

And going by the votes it's more normal to do so HAHA!.

I tried explaining all that ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ to my wife but it didnt make the slightest difference.


I even named my PC after her and she wasnt happy.........whats wrong with naming your computer "Wendys' Nightmare"?

I have also tried this logic, to no avail. I'm going to go through all it and clear some of it out. Might have to put the old Windsor 3800+ back together for a nostalgia run before I do though.

nope. Due to financial circumstances i will be waiting for the next gen it seems. I dont think retailers do 0% interest credit on £600 graphic cards

I did have a huge "parts" section in one of my storage closets in my garage. I was kindly informed by my wife that she needed room for her gift wrapping/crafting supplies. So I got rid of a bunch of stuff and filled up three large totes that I now have stored in my shed. Don't build/re-build/fix as many computers as I used to since we had our boy. No time and no money!

i too have a problem with saving old HW, as well as an extensive toy collection, that has consumed an entire room in my basement.

Parts,etc in corner of garage in my extra car bay,,,,,

and a toy/parts room in my finished basement as well....

I feel strange having hardly hoarded anything, I have a small wardrobe with some software discs in the bottom, a bottom bedside drawer with small parts and most of the area under my bed filled with boxes, but it's all neatly hidden.

Oh most definitely... my boyfriend is a computer technician in a repair shop here in town he's constantly bringing home pieces from old systems that people trade in for newer custom made systems
