Stating the obvious but "true communism" will never work for humans. Human brains simply aren't wired for it. Communism would be great for a robot society though.

You can also substitute in socialism for communism and statement is just as true, just ask the pilgrims when they tried socialism when they first got here how it worked...it didn't. They had to scrap it and set into motion a system more similar to capitalism and they had so much they created outposts to sell/trade the excess products and food.

Actually, yes, when they need a safe space and grief counseling and therapy dogs because their candidate lost, yes.

They need to frickin join the real world. Coddling them like this is only going to teach them nothing about dealing with real, actual bad things that you know, actually matter. It perpetuates the horrible job our nation did as a whole (don't know if the rest of the world is the same) by teaching an entire generation that no one loses and everyone gets a trophy.

You didn't see conservatives out wailing and crying in despair and demonstrating in the streets like the world ended when the closest thing to a communist we ever elected was elected 8 years ago. Why? Because like I just stated above. And you know what? To the average American he has barely affected them. And I can say that as someone who did not vote for him.

The man elected is one of the most non-ideological presidents ever elected. Even Obama, after the election said he is not ideologically driven. So, unless you are an illegal alien, he shouldn't scare anyone.

Bottom line, no matter who is prez, life goes on, America goes on. I'm very pragmatic and realistic about it.

I found Obama hostile to my very fabric of life. I put up with it for 8 years. Never needed a safe place other than standing in front of my gun safe......that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

If I were a liberal, I'd be crying about losing Congress and the Supreme Court, not Trump. GOP has controlled the House since 2010, the Senate since 2014, and the Supreme Court for decades. Obama has had no major legislative victories since 2009.

Our cat broke a plate in the kitchen one night when we were in bed and it frightened my wife. Fearing a burglar i went downstairs with the only weapon at hand, the pipe off our vacuum cleaner. Fortunately i didnt have to open fire.

Same here. Everyone has at least one. What so many people ignore (or just aren't aware of), is it is not the Wild West in the U.S. with guns and gunfights brandished and happening everywhere.

The vast, overwhelming majority of gun owners never use their gun and are safe and responsible owners. Nearly all gun violence is confined to pockets of cities and towns, and most of it involves illegally purchased weapons, something that won't disappear by outlawing guns.

It might be worth noting that my home state of Vermont ( which I hope to return to next year) has no laws regulating concealed carry of weapons (anyone can carry) and has probably the lowest murder rate in the country, averaging 4-5 murders a year for 500,000 people. Most of those are domestic violence related and not all involve guns. So obviously, guns are not the problem, and proof that overregulation is not needed.

Ever since the "stand your ground" law went into play in FL our crime has also dropped off dramatically. You are not as likely to attempt a crime when there is a GOOD CHANCE you might get shot..........lots.

I saw quite a few actaully. Obama with a "Hitler Mustache" seemed to be the goto one.

I'll also note that unlike the liberal protesters, those dudes were legitimately scary on campus. I've never been engaged unwillingly and most notably, unrelentingly to the level I was when they showed up from a liberal supporter.
