if its a 754, you should be able to relatively easily, as long as your RAM can take it. My 3200+ is running at an est. PR rating (by sisoft sandra) of 3713.

if the ram cant take it drop the FSB:DRAM ratio. Dunno if its called that in AMD systems, as i havent had much experience with them.

well, try boosting voltage or changing ram dividers.

you should be able to get more than 200mhz out of them. Losen the timings and u should be able to hit 250mhz.

depending on the mobo, it might just be wierd. my system won't boot with an FSB over 225, even if i lower all multis as much as possible, boost voltage, set ram divider to lowest possible, and relax timings as far as possible, it won't boot. however, in windows i can hit FSB 236 on 1.55 vcore and 2.7 (stock) vdimm with stock timings (2.5-3-3-10)

As to the original question ive got a zalman, and to tell you the truth i only noticed a difference in noice levels, compared to the stock intel cooler at the time i find very little difference in overclocking, mebbe a tiny bit more, but that may also be my ram as its the dodgyiest ram out there.

i trust that you've tried all possible methods of squeezing out more MHz, such as raising voltages, etc?

My mobo only does +10% or some shit for increased memory voltage, ive tryed making it 3:2 rather than 1:1 and that means i can get to about 2850, unstable as hell, and increasing the cpu voltage as much as it can still isn't enough to make it stable soo.... it may just be my processor aswell as ya know its an old old northwood. :p And seeing the 2850 isn't as fast as the 1:1 2700 thats just what i take it to.
