I'm really existed about nfs carbon. Does anyone know when the demo is coming out?

The demo is out for the Xbox360 I heard, seems it won't be that much of a revolutionary step from NFS:MW according to what I read.

ea usually gives there demo about 1-2 weeks before release.

haha sorry i hate ricers.

NFS speed series craped out after the first one...lol, but came back with porche unleshed, than died again.

I thought NFS Porsche Unleashed (200) was fantastic. At the time it was a great sim, and in fact, was probably one of the reasons why I bought my first 911 ;-) (Quite some years later though!!!)

I also liked NFS 6. And it introduced me to online gaming. Dial-up worked fine. In a car chase a poor connection, or a bit of lag, isnt too much of a problem (unlike FPS where you need a super connection). Of course, now we all have 3MB+ DSL connections so things have changed a bit.

However, I was very disappointed with NFS Underground 2. Yes, the graphics were "cool", but after the first hour of play, it became incredibly boring.

On reflection, I think that NFS Porsche Unleashed was the best concept. There was a car history, a progression, and an opportunity to win cash and buy "real" addons that were available from the Porsche factory or specialist performance tuners. These things actually existed and made small differences to handling and or power that helped win the next race. By the end of the game you were driving the latest cars.

It was a lot of fun and a good progression. Sadly, the graphics look pretty rubbish today. I think Porsche should commission a NFS:PU v2 with HDR etc. I'd happily drop $50.
