Not good for a firewall to go wonky.

I see it advertised on Linus Tech Tips videos all the time so I'm surprised at this. Perhaps it's just an issue with your one?

Note I've never used it.

Yikes. We are at the stage where YouTube personalities can push software and even people that don’t use it are under the impression it’s good because it popped up in a paid advertisement.

Maybe some people see it this way, but I don't. I didn't take it as a guarantee of quality, just that it's likely to be some level of reasonable.

Windows Firewall is decent enough. There wasn't any need for 3rd party one for over decade.

As I've never used it, would you say that other than the activation problem it's a good product or not?

well the free is good enough with the windows firewall I just got the paid because I wanted to see how the firewall is that is what you get with the paid one but you don't need the firewall but the free version is good for seeing what is coming in and out of your system and it even tells you what it is and the location in the world where it's coming from its got a lot of info you can go to there website and look at the Manuel to it
