Doom 3 still scares the shit out of me

I agree, I could never handle more than 30min of Doom3 at a stint, then I would need to take a few hours break. Consequently I never clocked it.

On that note, what hardware would I need these days to run doom3 well at max settings 1680x1050? don't have a gaming computer right now, maybe its time to make one

I max it with my E5200, P5Q pro, and 8800GT 512MB.

whenever i'm playing Doom 3, I just enter a console command that spawns a guard that helps you in the levels. dunno if its a mod or already in game, i forgot. but it helps me fight the HORROR.

I have attempted to play this game for the last 6-7 years or however long its been out, but to be truthful, it scares the shit out of me, even today

It defo was the crysis of its day with breathtaking visuals and one of the creepiest atmospheres ever in a game, also it took me maybe 2-3 years before I could even attempt to run it at ultra setting with its next gen graphics as it would bring a lot of rigs to their knees just like the doom 3 of today aka crysis

But seriousley this game is fucked, the atmosphere is excellant as it really does creep you from the get go, and thats my problem, it takes me half hour at most to start shitting my pants with doom 3 and I really have trouble getting anywhere productive in the game cause I am too busy shitting my pants lol

Do we have any other doom 3 pussies or am I one of a kind lol? I really do wanna play the game but it freaks me out way too much lol

I still have to beat that boss in hell.

Lol yeah im kinda the same, I played the epansion pack for like about 20mins then got extremely bored and never played it again, if you do have a play through with it, let me know how it is bro

F.E.A.R. never really scared me It made me really really REALLY stressed when I could not use reflex and something...unnatural came by, but it did not scare me. + I had just gotten my 2800 at that point, so I was drooling over eye candy.

Sunrise, I've seen that movie ages ago, but to me Dead Space reminds me of Event Horizon

It has EH's grime for sure, The Alien matter in Dead Space reminds me of the plant matter in sunrise. I agree though, the overall feel of EH is closer. Good movies.
