Hey there !
I wanted to clear some space from the desk and saw those 50-100$ dual monitor arms on amazon.... The ones you clamp on the edge of the desk and then VESA the displays onto it.

Now, I'm a guy with some healthy OCD. if the monitor wobbles around when I type, i'm gonna be super pissed.

With that knowledge, should I stick to the stock monitor mount on the desk and forget about this idea, or are there good arms that are as solid as a stock table mount ?

Does anyone know of a dual monitor arm that is rock steady with two 27" held on it ? No wobble at all ?

You probably should provide a link to the mount you are considering.

IMO, it really depends on how robust the mounting clamp is, how thick the desktop, and how sturdy the desk is. A lack of "heft" in any of those areas could result in wobble - especially if you pound on the keys instead of lightly press.

Well, I cannot live with just one monitor but mine are on their own stands and my desk weighs a ton. So no problem here.

That mount does look pretty robust so if there is a problem, it may be your desk. You may need too steady it with a metal bar between the clamp and desk.
