Dynamic or Static core/mem speed

    hey with ati tool as you all know you can set it to chang the clock speed when it detects a 3d application now do you all think it's better to just set a stable clock speed that just makes the card alittle warm or would it be better to set a slightly slower speed and a much higher 3d speed that you can't run as long... tell me what you think :)

    This depends on how you use your card. If you play games in long sessions then you wont be able to have much higher frequency settings. Having it running at high frequencies for 2D applications will not make it that hot anyway. If you weren't using ATitool you'd be worried if your card got hot in windows. There is little difference between both methods in this case as the 3D frequency would be similar to the max stable long term o/c.
    On the other hand if you only run 3D apps for short periods this feature of ATitool can be very useful and you may want to go higher than the max stable longterm frequencies.
