Hello
This is a weird thing going on with my wife's e mail a little hard to explain.
We are with time.Warner/spectrum
I have asked at there sites and searched on lone put no real info.
Windows 10 e mail app is Windows live mail

Ok here we go
I set it all up ports and security and ports it is all working
DownLoads the required folders sends and recieves mail all is good.
It will be working for days even weeks and then all of a sudden the whole account is gone.
All folders emails saved and deleted all gone.
This have happened a few times now at least 4 or 5 times 2 times in the last month.

Is there a virus or malware or something that is doing this. ?
Every time it has happened I do change the password.
She has another account with verizon that still works and have np with.

Any suggestions or advise please
Thaks

Does the system use any apps/software that do file cleaning, system cleaning, registry cleaning, or etc. cleaners, these could even be some security suites that perform this service.
If it does then, check and make sure they are not cleaning/removing/resetting the files/registry/etc. where you settings are stored.
You may need to direct them to exclude those files, registry entries, etc.

I have charter spectrum and I've set up pop/imap because it's so terrible. All of it just gets forwarded automatically to my Gmail account which never has an issue. However I have never had deleted folders like you're experiencing.i wonder If it has something to do with Windows update if you're using a local client. Regardless I'd recommend that you set up forwarding options that way it won't matter if it deletes folders or emails because you won't be saving them on the Time Warner account

Hello
We me/wife basicly have the same software
Win 10
Security and virus protection Norton
On my comp have not had any issue like this.

I will get on her comp and check her settings and see if there is something there.

If it can not be figured out my only option is to format and reinstall. I guess
I am not sure if it is one type of virus or males are what they would get out of delete this stuff.

Thank you for the advise
Ruben
