Well, here's some unexpected news. EA has teased that they will be returning their games to Steam. The announcement is expected next week. I don't know if it's due to hurting sales but if so then why so many years later?
A couple of questions remain. Will they be moving their new games there as well or just their old games that don't sell very well? Also, will the games that were bought from Origin activate on Steam or will they have to be bought again.
