I see the angle here. Show benchmarks that are vram dependant more so then GPU dependant. For example showing results at 2560, one example that shows mins (which really isn't playable), etc.

Exactly. I always praise testers who look at minimum rates, because in 80%+ of current games, your mid to high range cards can often easily achieve 60fps. What we end up with then is a bunch of reviews by people still using games from five years ago - games that aren't even very taxing and never were and these new cards tout something like 200fps. Yet what they don't show is when the heavy graphics kick in, the card nose dives to 20fps.

I also liked how in some of the tests, the Nvidia cards never really changed their performance range. I.e. in tessellation tests, they achieve XX fps, but without tessellation, they still achieve about the same fps across the board. Which suggest to me, that not only do they handle the tessellation very well, but that when you goto adjust your graphics options in a game, you can actually turn on the 'special features,' without some paranoia that it's going to crush your performance. You might actually get the satisfaction of actually being able to use all the available eye candy, and get acceptable performance.

Getting around 70C is nothing but 90C + is crazy. Even if fan runs at 100% whats the point, you won't be able to hear anything but the bloody GPU fan. Personaly I can see the gtx 480 crashing in games IMO due to heat.
