Hello. I believe there is a Power Throttle on my system due to the 3rd limit. After a few minutes of being above 140 Watts, it locks itself to 140W. I want to remove this limitation. How can I do it? @unclewebb

I have an MSI Raider GE78HX 13VH device. I have advanced BIOS access, but I haven't come across a setting that would allow me to remove the mentioned limit. If anyone knows what I need to change or has insights about it, I would greatly appreciate it. Platform PL 1/2 is disabled.

This hard power limit is usually set by an embedded controller (EC). I do not think the BIOS will allow you to remove this limit. The EC power limit is separate from the MSR and MMIO power limits that ThrottleStop gives you access to.

I have an idea of how I can remove this limitation on the EC, right? I just wanted to ask anyway. I guess the update to the Embedded Controller comes with a BIOS update, doesn't it? Can't I intervene at all?
