Well, you go negative... :D for a B660 board you will hardly have a major build in the first place.

People will make fun of that "barebones" looking board but this is what motherboards should look like. They shouldn't be this OTT RGB to the moon product because that takes away from what it should be, the device that interfaces with all of your parts in a familiar form factor and layout. Most new board have all of this crap on it just to make them more expensive because of the "features" such as RGB VRMs bigger than a house and 4 type C ports that take space from type A ports.

Wow, haven't seen this brand for a long time. Seeing the name, i had to check and: IMG_20221122_164312.jpgIMG_20221122_164352.jpg
Sorry for the bad photo quality, my phone cameras lost their protective glass.
The board doesn't give any signs of life though. I might take it to the electronic repair shop, and hope for the best. I would really like to play around with it, maybe get some of the extreme CPUs to OC or w\e.

P55 was peak design for many motherboard manufacturers including DFI and ECS in its day. Even Foxconn released its own P55 Inferno Katana on Newegg back in the day. I would say 2010 was the best year for building PCs, a lot of players back in the day with quality products. All we get nowadays is some boring old all black motherboard design with black or silver heatsinks, only ASROCK has come out with unique motherboard designs like their LiveMixer series.

That's one sexy looking motherboard right there. And it was a time where most of the PC cases were still closed with metal from all sides.
Nowadays we have majority of cases with at least one tempered glass or acrylic panel, and yet we have the most boring and ugly looking motherboards (and not just them). Reason? The damn RGB lights. When you have something painted in black and dark grey, there is a way less probability of conflict with any of the colours from the rainbow puke spectrum.
