EK, the premium liquid cooling gear manufacturer, has issued a statement for its loyal customer base regarding the upcoming changes in the pricing of certain products: Dear and valued EK customers. In light of full transparency, we wanted to inform you of some changes that will be taking place in the coming weeks. Due to various factors like raw material sourcing difficulties, material prices, and labor costs, we will raise the prices of a selected range of our products.

These changes will occur on March 31, 2023, and the price increase will only affect certain products. Those prices will increase by 8% on average, applying to any selected product or product line our company currently offers.

All orders placed before March 31, 2023, will NOT be affected by these price adjustments.

We assure you we have not made this decision lightly but were forced to do so due to all the recent changes in the market. Since our priority is the satisfaction of our customers and community, we are following your feedback. We heard you on what improvements you'd like to see and are committed to further improving our design, quality, and customer support to fulfill your expectations.

We remain committed to providing you with the best possible products and customer service, and this price increase will allow us to continue to do so. We understand that you have choices when it comes to your purchasing decisions, and we appreciate your continued support and loyalty to our brand.

If you have any questions or concerns about these changes, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sucks but other brands will follow, can't compete versus chinese brands with slave like labour!

At-least EK is made within Europe! :)

Sad to see. I was looking at an EK block for my CPU in recent upgrade but ended up buying a Corsair block - it was around half the price and seems to run just fine.

Complains of less income, layoffs, margins everything is so expensive etc...

Still makes even more inaccessible products to put off anyone potentially interested in custom water cooling.

Where's the darn logic?

This looks like a company who does not understand how market works. You will be grinded even more with business model like in 90ties. EU or not you are not competitive not because if raw material cost rise, but lack of management and outdated business model.

There is nothing special having access to CNC milling or laser cutting machine these times, product prices span into the territory where it is cheaper to order yourself, as it ain't a rocket science to design a brick of copper and plastic, it ain't a car part in need to withstand dozens of BARs. And you simply design and go to local Motor Sports dudes, that make almost any part of their vehicle daily from scratch, and they are not stupid daisies, they know their job well. Make 3D print prototype as most usually do before, see how it looks, if it fits and and give the design. If the block price is over 200€... and you order the raw copper in few tons? Who are trying to fool??? Around 100€ for a block, okay, no need to stress... but 200 and over? For a piece of brick and plastic with a few 5cent rubber seals and unneeded $2 RGB bling?

Why are you explaining yourself, No need. If you can afford 100%, then 8% should be doable.

Hehehe ... who owns an 4090 can afford any waterblock for at least 300 bucks +8%- Doesnt matter. :D

Water cooling is on sale on almost every shop. The value on 2nd hand is very low. Its not an investment, its a just-for-fun.

Yea there stuff is/was expensive before this price hike, but why do they feel the need to try & explain it to everyone, when practically everything everywhere from every mfgr has increased in price since 2020, and alot of it by way moar than 8%.....pc stuff or otherwise...

I'd go one further, anyone doing a full custom loop with ek parts can afford +8%. It's an expensive hobby big whoop, fortunately there's alternatives out there (like bringing back scrappy water cooling)
