Endgame Gear is on a mission to perfect the XM1, and the XM1r is the result of that quest. Equipped with the latest PixArt PAW3370 sensor, Kailh GM 8.0 main button switches, hybrid skates, an improved cable, and all-new translucent shell designs, the XM1r shapes up to be the definitive XM1 revision.

but is it worth double the price over the Roccat Core at $29,99 that is the question...

assuming I can find roccat core in store someday... or get it free shipping anyway

I'd prefer the size of this over that Roccat, maybe even build quality. Also this mouse has like the best sensor you can get, the newer 3370. If you want a good and cheap lightweight mouse, I'd suggest the Projects S001, which is $25 on Amazon and is an upgraded Skoll.

Maybe? TBH mice sensors are good enough nowadays to the point where the shape is likely going to affect your aim more. The only exception might be some bad wireless mice.

Additionally, a setting called "input selection" is present. As of now, only a single setting (raw input) can be selected, which is enabled by default. Endgame Gear plans to add an alternative mode which processes input differently: SPI data and USB polls will be synchronized to each other, but at the cost of up to an entire polling period (i.e., 1 ms at 1000 Hz) of added latency. This firmware solution is different from such a hardware solution as Razer's MotionSync, which utilizes the internal SPI clock and lowers motion delay instead of increasing it.
I can't wait to try it, I wonder if reducing jitters will be beneficial, I've never tried motion sync in the first place so I have no idea.

Most sensors are way beyond what 'you need' in a 'perfect sensor'. The baseline is already so good, paying premium is mostly just paying premium.

I think these mice like most other new ones that get pushed by communities are trying to marry a bunch of preferred features with a specific shape. Its the whole box that makes the treat, not an individual part.

Gotta say I like the innovation and drive to step away from the eternal OEM / top 5 mice copy. And I also like that @pzogel is reviewing them over those copycats.

I agree with any mouse of the last few years, but going from a naga 2014 to a naga x (2021 release date) I can tell night and day different over the sensor, something about it just feels better... not sure how to explain it though. I think you can only understand what I am saying if you used the 2014 for several years then went to the 2021 model. It really does feel different.

The XM1r now has MotionSync with 1.8.151 and 1.8.152.
The mousegraph looks a lot better, I'm using 1600 DPI because according to GWTest it is the best DPI on the 3370 with Motionsync ON and tracking feels fantastic.
On a side note I tested A5hun's SmoothCameraOperator in UE4 that was designed to test different DPI and I did notice a reduction in mouse sensor induced microsutters when using MotionSync paired with 240hz strobing with Dyac+ (Using RTSS to remove tear lines).
This mouse just got a lot better, I wasn't sure that MotionSync could make a difference but I was definitely impressed by the consistency improvements that I witnessed, it truly is a great product!

Just and FYI for future buyers. It's been something like 5 or 6 months since I purchased my mouse and it's already showing doubleclick. Endgame Gear discord is full of people reporting the same thing with XM1R. Firmware updates haven't solved the issue and I believe this is just a mechanical flaw in the switch itself, as you can hear the click actuating twice.
