Error code 0x80070241 Vista Install!

So i want vista.. I have used this disk many many times. I know it is good. I have tried everything you could google. I have no idea what is up. I have searched but never seen it get resolved. Am i screwed? If anyone knows please let me know.

Bios is up to date.

Most of the people re-downloaded the image and used another image burner (it's the only solution I can find on the web, even at MS).
Here someone states that this error occurs only sometimes, not always.

Hmm I had a similar issue with my sisters. We tried it in the command prompt b4 windows start up. We then did it from her windows XP desktop and was fine

How can i format and install from windows desktop?

Once you format, there is no more desktop so it cannot be done. If you want to install the O/S on a different drive, just have that drive plugged in and do it from CD bootup.

Well any info on how i can just install this thing? I dont have another drive and im only running my one SSD. I just want to fix the issue and install it like normal. I really need to get my vista on here and i have used it many many times. This is just so dam frustrating. I want vista. BAD.

Have you tried a fresh copy/burn of the install disc yet?
