ETA on Phison E18 controller Gen4 NVME drives?

Just wondering if anyone has any info when these drives might hit shelves, I plan to do a clean install of Windows 10 within next month, just want to know if it's worth waiting a few more weeks or so... I plan to get a 1TB of any brand as long as it has the E18 controller not E16.

thank you, just saved me a lot of time. will go on ahead and grab something else now, thanks again. i didn't want to wait any longer than december, so it's all good.

Seems like the WD Black SN850 is the way to go.
Obviously this is still not the final firmware for the Phison drive they tested, but WD has done a really good job this time around.

The first E18 drives will ship well before March 2021. The final firmware is in the last stages of testing. You will likely see them at the usual online stores before the end of this month or at the latest the start of next month.

I just saw the mockup of a retail drive less than an hour ago. I wouldn't be surprised to see presale by the end of next week. I can't say that for certain because I'm not on the sales team of the partner companies, but they are coming much sooner than mentioned above.

Worth the wait I think. NVMe 1.4 looks promising - hope they have software and drivers to complement. Currently the Sabrent app is still beta and never provided firmware for their Gen 3 or 4 rocket M.2s.
That said the Samsung 980s don't seem to have drivers or software either.
