I had to install 7 x64 over the top of itself to repair a few small things that I deleted to install SP1 (so dumb M$). I got SP1 installed only to find out that all my games crashed instantly after launching them. I chalked it up to windows borking itself during the reinstall, blew away the partition and started over (I needed to anyway with the typical windows degradation).
Got it up and running and everything seemed great. Went ahead and deleted my old system images as I seemingly didn't need them anymore. Tried to play crysis 2 demo and
Just as before, every single MFing dx 9 game crashes blaming atiu9pag.dll (which has to be a lie).
Bad Company 2 plays perfectly, though.
I tried googling, but found nothing specific to all games crashing in this manner. I think SP1 hates my configuration and wants me to hurt the worthless people over at M$.
Any ideas besides reverting back to vanilla 7 are greatly appreciated. I'm already sick of dealing with windows as I have to fix windows enough on other ppls PCs.
relevant hardware:
6950 - modded bios, 6970 bios, etc, it doesn't matter - tried different driver versions
xonar d2 - uninstalled, so that's not the issue either (started there b/c that's where crysis 2 demo log left off haha)
