"EVERYTHING" set to default after bsod.

So i've been having problems with my GPU (HD4870x2) It has been overheating so i decided to turn the fan speed up. As soon as i click apply i get bsod. Hmm, pretty normal since it has happened a lot of times. But this time when i booted up everything on my computer turns back to default. All game settings went to default, my opera/firefox add-ons all gone. Vista wallpaper and icons is gone, only recycle bin on desktop. My apps just everything!!!!! WTF HAPPENED???

Your O/S seems corrupt/messed up. Reinstall Windows.

ALL YOUR XP ARE BELONG TO ME
do you have a system restore point?
I know people who make images of their hard drives altogether, and reimage their computers every month or so, works very well, keeps system going top notch.

That was the first thing i thought that caused the problems. Reinstalled, i hope it fixed it, but same prob happened 2weeks later.

Try replacing the battery in your motherboard and run chkdsk on your HDD.

No help in system restore. BTW, system restore never worked for me anyway,even in xp.
