my 1060 will do just fine with my current setup until i upgrade to 4k. ill wait it out 2-3 more years. these prices are still to high.

edit: plus going to 4k will remove any desire to upgrade the cpu because everything becomes more gpu dependent at that point.

If people hold off and don't get tempted by these prices, they will go much lower, when panic sets in because the cards are still not moving. The flood onto the used market of former mining cards will make them drop even lower. I'm holding out for $300 for a new 1080. $150-$200 used.

I just happily paid $520 for a lightly used Vega 64 shipped. Could have got a brand new, and possibly slightly faster, card for substantially less. But Nvidia's a bunch of dirtbags. So why would I?
