Hello.
in the picture attached, some memory blocks are much warmer than the rest of the card, what does this indicate? bad thermal padding? should I worry? Thanks

It's normal ..... tho EVGA tends to run hotter than most. The overall cooling system approach has been lacking for quite a while.

-The 570 series had significant reports or blown VRMs
-On the 970 SCs , 1/3 of the heat sink "missed" the GPU
-On the 1060 / 1070 / 1080 they cheaped out not providing thermal pads and carts were providing Pyrotechnics. End result, you could either order replacement cards in warranty exchange or you could have the send you a set of pads and install them yourself.

Here's some thermal imaging measurements for you to compare with

Remember also that vendors oft have different ideas when setting up their cards fan curves ... if you want to lower noise, you will increase temps .... if you want to reduce temps, then you will get more noise. You can control that by adjusting your fan curve.

one memory block is 49C, another is 82C, they are all under the same plate around the gpu, I am tempted to take it apart and check things, like padding maybe. how hot is okay for this ram chips? 100C +?

Has to be an issue with contact on the ICs.

temps look ok on the screenshot, there is no almost 40C gap, I would like to see more results though
