It's normal ..... tho EVGA tends to run hotter than most. The overall cooling system approach has been lacking for quite a while.
-The 570 series had significant reports or blown VRMs
-On the 970 SCs , 1/3 of the heat sink "missed" the GPU
-On the 1060 / 1070 / 1080 they cheaped out not providing thermal pads and carts were providing Pyrotechnics. End result, you could either order replacement cards in warranty exchange or you could have the send you a set of pads and install them yourself.

Remember also that vendors oft have different ideas when setting up their cards fan curves ... if you want to lower noise, you will increase temps .... if you want to reduce temps, then you will get more noise. You can control that by adjusting your fan curve.
