Great layout and angled connections.

Althou the VRM mosfet placement sucks.

That is some weird component use, the layout is all over the place. And... another "gaming" motherboard. The Realtek ALC888 just makes me get a gag reflex if the price of the board is higher than it should be.

The only right thing is the angled ATX power connector. 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

I know they just entered the motherboard market, but what the hell. (Edit: I had no idea they had boards before, probably because almost nobody talks about them or even owns one)

Err? What? They've been making motherboards since LGA775. Their LGA1366 boards were quite high class especially the SR-2!

I like what they did with the layout. Can make other companies look into it and evolve a new standard for PC building and cable management!

Sorry, I forgot they existed, especially since they don't make 6 different models of what is almost an identical board. While having no budget options. My point shifts to EVGA being barely known for their motherboards. Its worse when they sell only in select regions.

I suppose they want to change all that, and this is a good thing.

I still can't get over the fact they will never make a board with an AMD chipset. One can dream though.

those yellow caps just scream on a dark PCB and it seems to be missing a few of those 8 phases. i'd bet you'll see a bios as a cheap biostar board.

i've had a few decent budget evga mobos back in the socket 775 days, 650ultra and 730i, but wow, this looks . . not good.

The only thing I don't like about this board is the marketing bullshit about VRMs. It's not that they are simply faking an 8-phase, they are outright lying even when pics show a clear 3+2 setup.
They've even thought through of moving CPU phases closer to the 8-pin EPS connector, but still I can only get to magic number 8 if I include all power delivery rails (CPU+SoC+PCH+RAM)...
Also, no mosfet cooling (and those caps make it impossible to install one). :banghead:

If not for the VRM part, it would've been an excellent board.

The Realtek ALC888 just makes me get a gag reflex if the price of the board is higher than it should be.
I think only an audio snob can hear the difference between ALC888 and ALC1220 (or some fancy dedicated card). I've tested a similar setup on a few AsRock boards (ALC892 and NE5532 preamp), and it was excellent in my opinion. The only truly bad audio chips are VIA VT1705 and Realtek ALC662 (lots of crackling, awful sound quality etc).
What really lacks is a proper 7.1 connector layout + S/PDIF on the rear.

Though, I do agree that $120 is wa-a-ay too much for a low-budget bare B360 board, even if we factor-in the 50¢ preamp and slightly more expensive angled connectors.

This is motherboard for users with smaller demands, gamers, surfing, youtubers... etc.
But they prepare some HARD CORE. With 24pin and 8+8pin next to him.

I have same EVGA Black Sleeve Set on 1200 P2.
Recommended for everyone.

I believe I know what's wrong with EVGA's press release. They've most likely copied parts of it from their past Z370 press-releases, cause most of those actually have an 8+2 configuration (doubled).

Would have liked to see some heatsinkage on the VRMs. I know B360 isn't intended for any heavy usage but if you're using integrated graphics you can easily push the VRM hard enough to cause issues, especially in a low airflow chassis.

This is motherboard for users with smaller demands, gamers, surfing, youtubers... etc.
But they prepare some HARD CORE. With 24pin and 8+8pin next to him.

Those are likely auxillary PCI-e for people running 2x300W cards.
