EVGA GTX1070 FTW coil whine

Hi,
I have received my GPU a few days ago.

Today I opened the box and I have installed it.

When I open games, the GPU starts to do a weird noise, coil whine.
Is not loud, thanks god, but I can hear it if I get close to the side panel.

What can I do?.
With the side panel close, I can not hear it, with the side panel open, I can hear it.
The things is that I have the side panel open all the time.

What a disappoinment with this new GPU. My old GTX1070 FE was in excelent conditions and no coil whine at all.

It's pretty much luck of the draw. Some are gonna whine and some aren't Mine is silent until I say hit oh 700fps or so which of course never happens on purpose, but they will whine. You just can't know, you could send that one back and the next one could be silent or could be the same or worse.

You could try to RMA, but not sure if they want to swap it for this reason...

The thing is that I play at 1080p, a GTX1080 for that is not worth it.

If you can buy/swap that many GPU's in such a short time, I'm sure you can afford a 1440p monitor.

Do you think that a 1060 6gb will be good for 1080p 60+fps ultra settings?.

What fps are you getting in your games? i have ever only noticed coil wine when my fps in games is really high, but havent noticed it with my current 1070.

Every single game, no matter what fps is, I have coil whine, is not lound but I can hear it clearly.

syndicate 55-60
far cry prymal 70-85
gta v 65-80
etc..

Try a Msi gaming 8g 1070. For me 2nd or best custom brand.

Why downgrade to 1060 it could have coil whine too.

Due to I have more than 60+ FPS, with the exception of Syndicate and Tomb Rider, maybe I can save more money and buy the 1060 because I play at 1080p remember.
