Alright I am doing a new build with a EVGA Socket 1156 P55 LE motherboard. It has two PCIe 2.0 slots on it. One runs @ x16 and the other @ x4. Now here's my question I got this motherboard because I am planning on upgrading it to something better in the future. Possibly when PCIe 3.0 releases.
But in the mean time if I choose to go Crossfire could I? Now I understand SLI won't work although Nvidia Card and Physx card would.
Now let's pretend for a minute that I am willing to take the performance hit on the x4 speed. My question is will it work in Crossfire?
This is just a thought I am not seriously considering it right now but I can't find any posting on this motherboard about it. Except for some retailers saying it would and some retailers saying it won't.
