Make sure you register for your 10 year guarantee with EVGA. That way if it does suddenly stop working, you can RMA it.

Don't get hung up about components that 'might' break, all things technological can stop working at some point for many reasons.

Get it registered and get it under warranty with EVGA.

You forgot to mention how much you paid. If it works, you're happy with it and you didn't overspend, sure it's worth it.

That's actually fine temps for those cards, word to the wise, try bumping up the clockspeed on your processor a wee bit more to get the most you can from the card. Enjoy it!!

considering the performance of the two cards is identical 150$ on top seems more than a little steep.

you've basically paid 150$ for dx11 and better minimum frames. That said your temp seem fine and 480's can take more of a beating than people think.

OK , i basically did the trade casue in some games the GTX295 didn't use the 2 GPU's , only 1! , now with the 480 i got one solid GPU that will work always ;)

well that is important true as without good sli support you're stuck with a down clocked 275.

don't go clocking the crap outta the 480 with the stock cooler (aka do as i say not as i do) and you should be fine.

I can say I have had 5 different cards the last few years, all of them very overclocked and never has one failed especially the 480 which has the largest OC of the lot. It's been a statement of reliability for 1 year at 970MHz core and 1032 mem @ 1.15 volts -24/7 and has never even flinched, Most of them use very good components and the 400 series had strong circuitry all around. Game with confidence just make sure it breathes clean air that's the key. So if you have a hot case leave the panel off.

yes, then most of use just clock up the regular edition to match the superclocked. It's not that much an an oc. When my evga card is "behaving" it works in tri sli with the other 2 despite being superclocked.

Thanks mate , the card is breathing very cool air ( 20-24ºC ) , so its ok .. !! thanks for answering ;)
