http://forums.evga.com/1080-FTW-Newegg-Order-m2493865.aspx

Idk how you guys feel about it but it kind of pisses me off..
Then again, I'm pissed off rather easily lol..
Reps have been telling me Mid June, all month. Now it's looking more like the end of the month... I talked to them again today..

Then newegg orders for the FTW popped up today and they shipped right out, even though I made my preorder last month, from EVGA directly?
I won't be preordering from EVGA anymore.. I paid 70 extra dollars for the FTW, it's cheaper on newegg..
And I get my card, last in line.. Way to watch out for your loyal supporters EVGA.. Not really cool imo..
They always told me that their preorders take priority. Guess not..

That's scummy as hell.

You have me on ignore I think, so you probably can't read this, but that really is poor customer service. If I were you, I'd threaten to cancel my order and see if one miraculously materializes.

I imagine this was a deal that existed well before the preorders and considering it is a corporation, yes their business is more important than yours. Welcome to be someone who will order one maybe two cards vs thousands.

Idk how I feel about this, but I honestly probably wouldn't care it makes more business sense. Not to mention I have conditioned myself to not anticipate expensive packages. I'm not 8 and when i get the box I probably cant immediately install it anyway.

You try to tell your wife your not making dinner on your scheduled night because you want to install a component. Thats a fantastic way to get your ass beat.

You've never dealt with EVGA before yea? Because they have always told me that their preorders take the highest priority..
That's why I order from them..Clearly that's not the case.. That's the point really..
But way to speak out as if you understand something, when you were ignorant of that fact and talk in a condescending tone... Bravo.. To the list you go..

I have I went through a stack of $300+ 780i SLi motherboards because their QC was allowing boards with pins that were to long go to customers. I also on a daily basis pull out dead EVGA video cards from customer computers.

Seriously considering it.. I might just hope for newegg to get more..
I have people that I told I would ship my 980 too, this week.. Per EVGA's word..
Now I have to worry about getting bad heatware..

EVG-AY has alway's been about the CASH grab, plus there Team Green(LOLZ!), people pay a premium for a pre overclocked card? Then again they have some of the best products, that thing you solder to a high end GPU, the meter that goes with it EVBOT. There board's rank only behind one company though some say there not that good, they lost my loyalty when the P55 socket burn left me out to dry........................Smmmh! Live n learn!

Add me to the list
Good to hear that I got screwed out of my delivery time and I'm concerned about bad heatware reviews? The things people say around here sometimes..
One more for the list....
I don't see how potential bad heatware reviews should add towards your stack of grievances against EVGA. This entire thread is a diatribe about someone/thing not honoring their end of a presumed bargain. You told people you would ship your 980 this week per YOUR word, not EVGA's. Stop acting sanctimonious and do what you said you would, or follow EVGA's example, which is what you are bitching about.

Add me to the list.

Lesson learned.
I remember both 680i mobos I bought from them, completely failed..
Ram slots died one at a time.. Then the boards just died. Same thing on both..

People actually use that? lol I understand your rant though. I never liked EVGA after a conversation I had on the phone years ago. Maybe there is a compensation due if it was an error

Somewhere between 2005 and now I managed to gain the ability to piss people off in a single post. Maybe I'm even notorious for it now.

Watch out TPU Safety's off boys.

I chide though this is being a bit dickish. I probably could have worded it better but damn.

Watch out TPU Safety's off boys.

Pissing people off in a single post is easy, but what's impressive is you weren't even trying.

I suggest you take your troubles to Evga and/or Newegg and stop harassing other members here. This is a tech/help forum and not a place for folks to stomp their feet at various wrongdoings by things not associated with this site.
We can't help you. We can only offer advice or input that you may or may not take offense to and that's an issue. It's not a very common issue so I have a feeling it's something that needs to be worked out on your end.

Closing this down.
