Today we take a look at another classic memory kit on the Intel X79 Express platform, this time from Exceleram. The Rippler ERB300A is built for overclocking with its fast CL6 speeds, but will that still work with the overclocks of today?

I have to admit.. mighty impressed with the aesthetics of this RAM and especially the packaging - something which isn't usually a priority.. performance with OC easily competes with the other 2+GHz modules..

Hope Exeleram brings an updated model but retaining the same good looks..
Its 'sharp' looks are worthy of a photo-shoot (see here what i mean ) and also in the "Sexy Hardware Close-Up Pic Clubhouse" thread

Thanks for the review Dave..

Exceleram does have more recent "Rippler" products, and does seem to keep up with the bigger memory houses on product releases, it's just that they have limited global distribution, so they are not seen often. Hopefully I'll see more products of theirs come across my desk real soon! ;)

Would love to see these in 8GB and 16GB Kits. What kind of ICs are these using? I looked but didn't see them listed. I could have easily missed them though.

By physical characteristics and clocking, I think they are PSC-based.

Exceleram does have 8 and 16 GB kits in the Rippler line-up, but they feature blue heatsinks instead of red.
