Hi Guys!

The monitor I had, Asus VE228H, paid 139$ instead of 169$, well I got 2 brand new, each 99$ :) . So going for Eyefinity. I have an HD6950 1gb, I know that BF3 will never run in ultra settings at that resolution. I play WoW, which will runs fine, Dirt 3, and some other small games.

So what I would like to know, is what should I do? I can get another HD6950 1gb for like 200$, or I sell this one, and grad a 7950? or wait for GTX 670Ti? I don'T really want to buy an HD7970, as I got some other stuff to pay (Yeah I know, I got monitor now, but was cheap and I'd like to try it out lol).

I saw also some HD7870, which overclock very very well. Budget would be under 400$ without what I could get for my card.

Any idea? HD7870 and overclock? HD7950 + overclock or wait for nVidia cards? For now, when I'm playing BF3, I could disable 2 monitor and only plays 1920x1080..

Thanks :toast:

I suggest just forgetting about the 6950 especially with 1GB of VRAM. Grab a 7950 and overclock it. It has a whopping 3GB of VRAM.

Thanks for your reply. Anyone knows when the GTX 670 Ti will be out? that should be the card to battle the 7950? I've seen a 7950 like 389$ on newegg. which is a good Price I think.

Those reference 7950 are usually freaken loud at 50 or even 60% load. I suggest you get something like an aftermarket cooler one. One like the XFX 7950 Double D. As for the 670 Ti drop date, I really don't know.

found this one really cheap, but it's reference. it's really noisy? I don't know if you set the fan to 30% (like I did on my dual fan HD6950), it dead silent, furmark goes max to 72C, but I don't know on this reference card...
