I've got this Fake 4GB R7350. It has 4 DDR5 Chips named Hynix H5GQ2H24MFR. The data sheet shows them as 2Gb (Gigabit), They are 256MB Chips. So it is an actual 1GB RAM video card. It is useless with this 4GB firmware, games crash out when they try to use more than 1GB RAM.

Is there any known fix for this? I can't find any info. I tried flash a 1GB BIOS with ATIWinFlash and it gives subsystem ID error. I'm not even sure if the GPU actually is an HD7750 or maybe R7 250 chip. The GPU is marked AMD 1545. I can't even find that AMD number anywhere.

Can the BIOS or video driver be patched to use 1GB instead of thinking it has 4GB? I could probably email or upload the fake firmware if someone wants to look at it. The BIOS reads, C44501 MOCHA Verde PRO 1G GDDR5 64Mx32

I think if you can not return the card as @eidairaman1 suggested then remove the heatsink, clean it up and take good pictures of the chipset so that maybe @T4C Fantasy can help ID it.

I'm probably going to be stuck with this so it would be nice to fix and at least get some use out of it. Windows 7 just decided the drivers might be malware and disabled the card. So I'm downloading the adrenalin for HD 7750 driver right now.

I'm almost positive the card you have is a modified Radeon HD 7750 1GB. HIS in particular used a PCB with the C44501 designation, and those designs do get reused in these knock-off rebrand schemes all the time.

Another chinese fake? :)
Typically OEM boards reflashed with a hacked bios to make gpu-z think more ram is present when it is not.

Force flashing doesn't work? It should work fine in DOS.

Return it to the seller if possible and ask for a refund. If nothing else, that would be a lesson that you shouldn't buy an odd-looking PC hardware from fraudsters.

Here is the GPU-Z Screen. I tried to attach the firmware file too but it won't let me.
When I installed the new drivers it shows as R7 350 card. Before it showed as HD 7700 series.

That cheap looking ATI sticker made me laugh. AMD abandoned the ATI brand since the release of HD 6000 series.

its a 1GB GDDR5 R7 350 apparently which would make it a fake, also amd ati is much harder to spot a fake than nvidia

but that no code on die means either early ES or they rubbed it off on purpose to make the fake. every chip has a unique code

Cape Verde Chip Numbers:
Cape Verde PRO (215-825156)
Cape Verde PRO MOCHA (215-825384) <-- R7 350
Cape Verde XT (215-0825117)
Chelsea LE (216-0834065)
Heathrow XT (216-0835033)

It’s looks like a OEM R7 350. That’s why you can’t find it anywhere and why it has only 1GB of VRAM
