I bought a "750 Ti" last spring and it was loads better than my Radeon HD 5670, but I wasn't super impressed. After watching a few YouTube videos recently about fake 750 Ti's I have become suspect. My numbers don't match up on the techpowerups gpu program. The GPU has this information on it:

Nvidia
12C5B290 120A1
S Taiwan
NBN096.M2V
-250-KA-A1

I've been able to find older gpu's , I believe 450's or 470's with the same bottom row of letters/numbers but they had more in front of the -250.

He meant GPU-Z, the application that Wizzard (this site's founder) have created that displays Graphic card information.
Once you open the app, make a screenshot of the first tab.

Is that the shroud that came with the card when you bought it?

The reason I ask is that shroud looks like an older AMD shroud, possibly a powercolor or sapphire type from the 7XXX generation

there is defintely no 750ti i can recall that has that shroud. i cant put my finger on it, but ive seen that shroud, or one VERY similar....it looks like its almost a modified standard AIB shroud from a sapphire 7950, with "modifications"

if i had it, id open it up and look at the under side of that shroud, im guessing there are tooling marks that dont look quite proffessional.

I didn't notice anything on the heatsink or anything, nothing that stuck out. The GPU chip definitely doesn't look like its never been cleaned before.

im almost 100% cerrtain ANY AIB who makes a GPU is going to put THEIR name on the fan hub, not "Nvidia" it should say, MSI, or Sapphire, etc. and I KNOW Nvidia didnt make a Ref Shroud that looks like that in the last few years.

im gonna call fake....i cant say 100% why, but my alarm is going off (or atleast that the shroud isnt Stock) the PCB & chip could be real, but that card is 100% modified

Looks that way. There are some similar ones on ebay now. They don't have 12 TMU's on their pictured Gpu-z though. All this time I thought my processor/ motherboard was just garbage XD

There was a thread about fake cards here on TPU, and physically and visually it reminds me of that card in other thread. Also as previously said, a manufacturer will put his brand name on the card, being it either MSI, Asus, Gigabyte, HIS, PNY, etc... Nothing here, we can only conclude that it has a Nvidia chip on it (possible VGA BIOS modifications to report higher numbers). Also that typo error on that sticker "750Ti Graphic"

its fake GTX 750 Ti
1. GM107 chip doesn't have white metal surrounding the silicon
2. GM107 has 640 Cores, in your GPU-Z it has 192 cores
3. as @jboydgolfer said, most if not all 3rd party vendor put their logo/brand signifying its their product
4. Nvidia never has anything yellow in its logo
5. looks familiar?

It's fake I'm afraid you can tell by the shader count , a 750ti should have 640 cores. Unfortunately you got scammed and bought a card that is 2-3x times slower than an acutal GTX 750ti. The Taiwanese graphic manufactory are back at it I see.

"1 x Graphic Note : it is not geforce original, It was produced by Taiwan graphic manufactory which has 10 years experience on this. And it's very good quality and has a wonderful praise by our customers."

Never forget. They still reign terror to this this date.
