Fan case cooling question

Hey guys this is an older pc and I'm new to building pcs. I'll be getting a graphics card and replacing the current cpu cooler. I have one case fan currently at the front of the pc. I'm getting two more fans and was wondering where would be the best place to put them for intake/exhaust. Either top, back or the side of the case?

Any suggestions will greatly help! Thank you heaps. I apologise if this is a really obvious answer to my question.

First of all, welcome to TPU!

@keakar made a pretty good guide about this subject. Even though it's quite old (in terms of technology) it still remains as helpfull as back then.
If you have any questions about said guide or have anything else on your mind, feel free to ask! People here @ TPU usually go out of their way to be helpful ;)

So that you have positive pressure. Unless temps are a big issue. Positive pressure with filters will keep your part looking good. No filters negative will keep things cooler but dust everything up and requires more cleaning. Also list your specs in the User page.
So if you can put two in front in. One out in the back or three in from the top/ side and front.

Also make sure your CPU cooler is blowing the right way. Back

Nice guide there. But it is done without counting with HDD's. I prefer the intake fan to blow directly onto the GPU and CPU area, putting HDDs in the upper bays of the case (with their own fan or not...)
