Well, I have 3 of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811999138
And I'm about to order 4 more - I'm also about to order one 80mm fan, if I can find one thin enough =/

Anyway...the whole point of my case is a very simple look. It has no windows, only slots for fans. It gives off a minor red glow, hence the red fans - I like simple. So I need a fan controller for the fans, because there are a lot of them, and they can be somewhat loud... So when I'm not really "using" my computer (ie sleeping), I'd like to be able to turn them down.

What I was wondering is, what are some good products to look into? I'd like it to be able to control at LEAST two fans, but preferably as many as possible :) However, a lot of them I see have blue LEDs on the front...I need either NO LEDs or some decent red ones.

Okay, so...the whistling problem. The side of my case ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811119137 ) has two fan slots. Well, when I plug these babies in, screwed in tight, they pull quite a bit of air. However, when they are placed right against the perforated holes, they actually...whistle...pulling the air in. The air makes a whistling noise as it's pulled through the holes. I've done a odd job of fixing it by putting about half an inch between the case and the fan...but now it doesn't pull near as much air. Anyone ever heard of this? This is the main reason I need the fan controller =/ But it would be nice even if I didn't have the problem.

Thanks for reading.

you have to cut the hole out the size of the fan circle and use an open type grill over it but be carefull not to cut too big a circle, i like to use a dremel to cut it out.

the whistle is because its starving for air that is blocked from going through the grill and into the fan.
