A group of about 70 fans are trying to put together what many see as the Holy Grail of the Half Life series, using Unreal Engine 4.
Known as Project Borealis, they also have a performance test which you can download and keep up to date using itch.io. Of course, like all things HL3 related, it's anybody's guess if it will see the light of day, but I wish them the best of luck.
I ran the performance test, just to send the results to them, if it helps in the development of the game. The site hasn't been updated in a while, but the performance test was updated a couple of months ago, so I assume they're still on the case, so to speak.
