Since it looks set in modern times and they are armed to the hilt, I have to wonder if they are paralleling the Montana Freemen here. It may be more about anti government causes than racism. It would also be a more popular theme since the US is pretty much in political turmoil lately. Anyway, it's looking more interesting to me now. If they properly follow a Freemen theme, it could be intelligently written, since their cause involved rather complex elements. The only cause I have to question it being Freemen based is the religious implications (the "sinner" carving). As far as I know, Freemen were more about rights than religion. Then again, Far Cry has always been about fiction, not fact, so they may use only vague pieces of the real world.
