Feature suggestion - Show drivers date

It would help a lot, if the installed drivers' date is shown in GPU-Z. Exact date would be best, or maybe at least Month/year.
Every AMD/Nvidia driver, be that a WHQL/Stable one or Beta/Non-WHQL, has an exact release date. It can be seen in its Digital signature also.
What do you guys think, please?

Is this possible to implement, or would it be too hard?

As far as I know it's written in the driver version number

6= month

Or something like that? Maybe im wrong just a thought.

thats correct for AMD, but not intel or Nvidia.

Installer? I meant the video card drivers EXE installer Digital signature, not any files from after install.
It may need a database to be maintained, however.

IF it has to be local files, for AMD Radeon drivers - maybe use the Catalyst Control Center (CCC.exe) date - should be very near the date AMD claim the drivers are from (plus-minus 1-2 days).

For Intel & NVidia, not sure. I do not use NVidia cards any more now (retired the trusty GTX 670 recently).
On my Windows 10 Pro 64-bit PC, the CCC.exe file is in folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD\CNext\CCCSlim\ folder.

Obviously not from the kernel mode layer handler. Intel has 3 different signatures on my rig :kookoo:

How about grabbing the date from the registry?

No, sorry - please note this is not what I suggested/wanted at all.
I apologize for not being clearer on what I suggested.

This should be in the main tab of GPU-Z (Graphics Card), please.
If not, it has be in a tooltip in main tab - when you rest the mouse pointer over Driver Version field. (this of course only if you cannot fit it on main screen/or do not want to).

I have lots of PCs here that I admin, so this would be really useful, but in main tab where it is easily viewable/accessible, not in Advanced tab.
In Advanced tab it would be useless to me. I have now edited the original post for clarity.

OK, future release - in tooltip, please? Some items show as tooltips already, so it will be much appreciated that way.
But if it could fit somewhere on main window lates on it would be excellent. Thanks for your consideration!

Btw, the GPU-Z window is too tiny indeed also - it is not 2002 any more now, but 2017, so 800x600 resolution is now (or at least, should be!) a "blast from the past" , but I will post a separate thread on that.

Nope. In 2-3 years PCs/Windows OS will be much faster, and GPU-Z - having same as now or even lower load.

@W1zzard I suppose that seeing as nVIDIA no longer refer to their drivers as "ForceWare", you could remove ForceWare from the driver string, leaving room for the date.

Bumpety-bump.

We need this in main screen and not in tool-tip/hint, please.
You said you will do or consider for next version(s)? Several next/new versions came and went, no change.
Please fix this, it is useless to me at least in current hint state. There is plenty of space for full drivers date to show - please just move some items around/resize them and then it will fit just fine and easily.

Thanks! Any location will do, a little resizing/moving around of the current labels, and then drivers date should fit.
