It's seems like they went big for this release, native 4k texture, support for 8k, HDR10... and also a 170gb install, and a GTX 1080ti for the recommended spec.

I don't know how they get those hardware requirements as there's no official hardware requirements announced yet, only a confirmation and features trailer about PC release.

I haven't clicked the gearnuke link but I think other sites mentioned that the demo they had was running on a 1080ti, and that's it. There's no min and recommended requirements just yet.

As far as I know, the demo which used 1080Ti was their engine tech demo from GDC2017 (Feb-Mar 2017).

This here mentions that an i7-6700 and GTX 1080 ti was used for the game demo (not tech demo).

as an avid fan of the FF series I plan on getting this in addition to the edition I got for PS4 for the sole purpose of seeing high res models of the regalia and cidney

Apparently those are the recommended hardware requirements to run the game at 4K resolution with Ultimate settings (all Gameworks gimmick enabled).

The recommended specs are probably based on the use of all the GameWorks nonsense. Without it, a 1060 or 580 may be enough.

Yep it's going to have mod support. Square CEO is just praying the players to not go to far with the nude mod.

I love the designer's attitude too...when he acknowledges gamers own games in their own right and should be able to use it in different ways.
